How it Works

Hypnotherapy is used to address and resolve issues within one to four 2 hour sessions by identifying the root cause of the beliefs which may be informing your mind to behave, act, or believe things in a manner you do not want.

Understanding Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a focused state of relaxation where you are in complete control the entire time. All hypnosis is "self" hypnosis where you choose to relax into the trance-like state, and out of it, at will.

Any misconceptions created by the movie industry or stage hypnosis inaccurately represent the complete control one has throughout the entire process of guided hypnotherapy.

According to your goals, you will experience clinical hypnotherapy and/or regression therapy.  All sessions combine elements of Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  Sessions are deeply relaxing, insightful and healing.

Meet Yourself

Every session is informative, revealing understandings while you dialogue with your subconscious. Your subconscious mind is a running 24/7 record of everything you have experienced your entire life.

Out With The Old

Everyone forms beliefs, mostly in years 1-13 that may no longer be true, but subconsciously still manage our behaviors and habits. We discover what those are, dismantle them and install better ones.

New Pathways

You will be provided with a custom audio recording of 15-20 minutes in length to listen to after the session for 21 consecutive days to re-pattern your beliefs, habits and thinking (you are building new neural pathways).

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a heightened state of concentration and focused attention where the client is in control the entire time. Similar to being engrossed in a movie, or thinking about other things driving your car - people drift in and out of "hypnotic" states all day long. Guided by a trained, certified clinical hypnotherapist, a relaxed hypnosis trance state allows you to be more open to suggestions to making healthful changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts or behaviors. Lydia Hatton is trained in Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy, and HypnoRegression protocols. Both approaches seek the root cause of a particular issue most often found in the subconscious,, and then release any blocks where limiting beliefs may prevent one's conscious progress, allowing for greater range of confidence and clarity for the future.
  • How does Hypnotherapy differ from traditional talk therapy?
The most significant difference is that with Hypnotherapy, one identifies the root causes for an issue via accessing the subconscious mind where originating beliefs and memories are stored, then is freed from the connections to those old beliefs and new beliefs are installed so that a transformation into the desired state can occur. The conscious mind cannot always pull up deep seated beliefs which are typically made when we are very young. Because humans have so much to learn, we are in a very “plastic” semi-hypnotic state until the age of seven when the conscious mind, or logical mind, begins to activate. Childhood beliefs about our self worth, what is available to us, or how we believe we are different from everyone around us drive the quality of our adult mindsets, and form many of our adult perspectives and life experiences. Hypnotherapy targets freeing you from the self-limiting beliefs of your past, and training your mind on what you desire to experience in present time. Hypnotherapy enables a completely new level of “emotional transformation for high performance living.”
  • How do I know if Hypnotherapy is right for me?
Hypnotherapy is very effective for addressing a wide range of issues, but not all. Hypnotherapy is successful in shifting your beliefs and thought patterns in areas of emotions, fears, or any habits you wish to change. It is also excellent for goal setting, test taking, and helping reveal key aspects of one’s life purpose. Hypnotherapy helps you achieve the results you want to see in your life. For example, Hypnotherapy is very effective for, but not limited to: • Breaking through mental blocks, limiting beliefs or feelings of just being stuck • Releasing anxiety, depression and fears • Improving your health, ending self-sabotage • Changing habits or addictions such as weight gain, drinking, or smoking • Freeing yourself of feelings of not being good enough, not believing in yourself • Attaining personal goals in life, finances, relationships • Overcoming fears of public speaking, or achieving breakthroughs in your professional life Hypnotherapy is not recommended for anyone with epilepsy, in treatment for any kind of psychosis, or taking psychotropic medications.
  • How does a Hypnotherapy session start?
There are many misconceptions about what "hypnosis" is -- and is not. When starting a session, I use my voice to guide you into a relaxed state, where your "critical thinking" brain steps aside, so you subconscious mind can respond. Within 6 to 8 minutes, you will be relaxed, and able to speak with me the entire time. You will remember what comes up, and can go to the restroom, make a call, if needed, and come back to session. You are in control the entire time. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis - meaning you are in charge. I am the guide. Deep insights and understandings are the results, allowing you greater access to your power. You will come to back to your thinking mind feeling deeply rested, and aware of your thoughts at a new level.
  • What if I can’t go into hypnosis?
Most everyone can go into a hypnotic state for a session where they want to be there to do the work. Sessions can be challenging if one is there against their will or have preconceived notions about losing control of what they say -- which is not possible. One is in complete control the entire time. To help familiarize you with the process, I send you a ten minute relaxation recording prior to the session to help familiarize you with how everything sounds and feels. Remember you are in complete control throughout the session, and can take a break at any time.
  • When do I see results from the session?
People shift in one of three ways: 1. Right away 2. Over time 3. Retroactively In the case where you are given a recording to listen afterward, the key is to listen to the recording daily – treat it like a meditation. Many clients listen to their recording long after the 21-day habit modification listening period as they find it relaxing, soothing, and confidence building.
  • Why do you recommend three sessions?
To move through long held emotions, thoughts and beliefs, it can take several sessions to peel back the layers to thoroughly clear away an issue, particularly in the case of fears, anxiousness or depression. The second and third sessions tend to differ in emphasis from the first, as the client’s awareness moves to other findings which they wish to address. Some issues, like a specific frustration, can be addressed in a single session. Other issues that are habit based such as weight reduction and can take three sessions.
  • How can I expect to feel after the session?
Immediately afterwards, you can expect to feel relaxed, like you have had a deep rest. It may take five minutes or so to readjust afterwards and resume normal activity. Listening to the recording every day can make you feel like you’ve had a quick nap! The recordings are great for nervous system relaxation.
  • Is there anything I need to do during the session, or after the session?"
During the session all you need is to be willing to relax and be open to what comes up during the process. After the session, you need to listen to a 15–20-minute custom audio recording for 21 consecutive days to reset your old beliefs with new ones and establish new thought patterns. This is critical to efficacy of the RTT process.
  • Why do I get a customized audio recording to listen to after our session?
When a longstanding belief is removed from the subconscious it is very important that new positive beliefs are installed immediately and reinforced to effect a lasting change. The mind learns by repetition, so listening to the recording for a minimum of 21 days after a session is critical to see maximum impact and experience a lasting change. Your audio will be based on your unique situation and what YOU want to see, feel, and experience in your life.
